Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools. They offer an added benefit or effect when the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors or other players, looted, gotten as a reward, or created using crafting materials. Upgrade items can have cosmetic effects as well as offering bonus points for attributes.

Infusions, inscriptions, and enhancements are a type of upgrade components. They are not accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that has been elevated or certain weapons that aren't ascended from the Factions Campaign. You can recover infusions and inscriptions from equipment using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging them using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage tool.
Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade item s can be traded and re-used when still attached to the item they are upgrading. These upgrade items can be used to increase the quality of armor and weapons, without spending Dilithium. They can double the chance that the item will receive a high-quality upgrade.
An upgrade component in an item can be replaced by another however, it will destroy the previous one (except for upgrades to ascended equipment and legendaries). Only upgraded items with an identification level of 0 or higher can have upgrade components added to them. Adding an upgrade to a weapon that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the new item as it appears in game (for example, adding an Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can own up to three upgrade items at any one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be an excellent addition to any product. They offer unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs increase the number of affixes that an item has, which increases its power. These glyphs can be found through dungeons, and some can even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. It's important to note that glyphs are not available on a character that has not created a root dungeon of the same depth.
To use a Glyph it is necessary to create it using components and connect them using anchors. The component will then automatically align itself to other components or paths in the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph from components, you can build it by combining paths and anchors. Then, drag the element near a highlighted component to secure it.
Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be met for example, 25 Dexterity in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs also require a certain number of Primary Stat nodes to activate, which can be difficult to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius, which increases as you move it up.
Glyphs are available for many different items, and can be added to all weapons except for weapons of a particular class. Certain glyphs can be used with additional conditions, such as an amount of damage to Dexterity or Attack damage for a specific area of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph adds an 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has the chance of 15%, making the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Certain glyphs can also be used on limited use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will be counted towards the Combat Mechanic achievement.
The most common glyphs in the game are the attack ones which boost Artifacts' ATK substats by a fixed value. They are especially useful for classes with a range, such as Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph which makes enemies who hit the Hero susceptible to damage.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results rolled while taking an Action. When the reroll happens they are discarded. Reroll tokens can be obtained in a variety of ways, such as through the dungeons, raids and skirmishes. You can also purchase them in the store or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials, as they allow players to reroll rewards from the bottom of the chest.
Recycle points are available for items at the level 1. When an item is recycled, it will add a certain amount of points to the gauge for upgrading. This number is determined by both the item's rarity and level. Additionally, the upgraded item won't keep its level when it is rerolled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up depending on its level.
Alternatively, a player can use reroll tokens to reroll an upgrade item however this will not return the item to its original level or give it its original stats. This is useful for players who wish to reroll an item that they don't love and want to keep it in their collection.
Three different kinds of upgrade coins are available in the game - Reroll, randomly generated and upgrade. Each type comes with a couple of subtypes. Reroll tokens, for example, come in three types: rare, legendary, and enhanced. Each level requires an item from the respective level to make an item of that quality.
To use tokens that reroll, select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Then, choose a type of token. The available tokens include Item Weapons, Misc, 1hguns, 2hguns, and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a brand new Item in any quality. Utilizing a Weapon or Misc token will produce a new weapon of the same faction.
The item could be upgraded to a different item with the same stats but a higher level. This could happen when the item is in the Non-droppable Pool or was transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
